Based on extensive consultation, back in 2008 the Warlingham Parish Plan recorded just how strongly we value living in this area but also how many worries there were at the type of development that was being allowed to take place. The Plan called for a set of Development Guidelines to be published, not to discourage development but rather to encourage development along lines which might help Warlingham remain an attractive place to live in. Councillor Ray James has led a project to produce such a document and this Design Statement has now been published in draft form with the purpose of generating feedback and suggestions. The more people look at the draft and contribute comments and ideas, the more representative of Warlingham the final document will be.
