The Parish Council is formed of eleven Parish Councillors, elected every four years (last election - May 3rd 2012), six from the east ward and five from the west ward. The Councillors are unsalaried. The Council is administered by the Parish Clerk. The Parish Council is funded by a precept which is collected as part of your overall council tax. While Tandridge collects all council tax, in 2013/2014 Tandridge will keep just over 12% (£193.62) of a band D property charge, while 74% (£1172.52) will go to Surrey County Council and 13% (£207.55) to Surrey Police. The rest of the amount collected is for parish councils, which for Warlingham is £14.75 of a band D property charge. In 2012/2013 Warlingham’s Parish precept for a band D property was £14.97 per annum. The purpose of Warlingham Parish Council is to help make Warlingham a better place to live in.
